Conclusion

I had heard a little bit about the corruption in the food industry before we began to get into the POF topic this semester; but it wasn't until after our research, I actually began to think about it and even consider it in my daily life. The politics of food reveals another fraud topic in our country. We should be informed about where our food is coming from, and how it was made. We should be able to access healthy foods for affordable prices. It really took me by surprise when I actually thought about how fast foods/unhealthy foods are the cheapest; leading a majority of our country to become unhealthy or ill considering our economy (meanwhile, here I am; upset I have to eat bowls of salads for dinner). As for GMOs, I am still debating on whether or not it is a bad thing. Foods involving GMOs can be the future in our eating system and possibly, a step forward; but the other side of me thinks that we are losing touch with our food and basic agriculture.
