FoodFoodFood

My mindset on our country has completely shifted concerning our food. With all of the newfound information we've been given-- whether it be from what Ms. Fletcher has given us or our own research done-- I believe its crucial to change our ways. Yes, it's easier said than done, but we should at least try, right?

As far as the food I consume, I completely go against what I just said up there. If JM being honest, within the last week, I've probably had take out at least six times within the span of four days. That isn't the best choice, obviously. And, the only reason my family and I had it was because it was easy. All last week we were out, doing things for a family function that was happening over the weekend, so in order to keep for that, we couldn't do the whole lets-cook-for-an-hour-and-then-sit-to-eat-it-for-another-hour ordeal. So, I do see the hard side of the concept of fixing our eating patterns, but, hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

And, along with the bad decisions, I knew I was making them. I knew that eating that chicken burrito from TacoNazo wasn't the best choice, but I still did it. I knew that eating those nuggets from Jack in the Box wasn't healthy either, but I still did it. I think being more aware of where the food comes from has allowed me to see the kind of decisions I'm making while I'm making them.

Overall, I think the POF unit has kinda opened my eyes to what I eat and what's in what I eat.

  1. Instead of JM I meant I'm. Sorry.

  2. I think the fact that POF simply made you aware is good. People shouldn't have to feel guilty for not being able to eat healthy ALL THE TIME. Even though its great for people who have access to engage in healthy eating to do so, splurging and eating fast food when one isn't able to eat healthy is ok.
