Final Thoughts
This unit in ERW has given me a wider view and understanding on online anonymity and trolling. I still believe that online anonymity is important even though it seems to contribute to online harassment. Online anonymity encourages us to use our voices and speak up or be unafraid to communicate with others on a personal level. There are many different things that factor into trolling and we should try to find out what they are and target them instead of silencing everyone else online. I was also reminded while rereading Taylor Armerding's article that we (everyday people) really aren't as anonymous as we think we are because we have locations, emails, phone numbers that can be traced which is kind of creepy. Of course, all of this doesn't apply to anonymous hackers because well, they're anonymous hackers, which also makes me question if getting rid of anonymity would even be possible. I feel like I already said what I wanted to say about anonymity and online harassment in my previous blog posts so i'll end this here. Goodnight!

The Internet is too complicated to ever really take out anonymity. I think as technology gets more advanced there will be more ways to be anonymous online and that means that more online trolling would soon be inevitable.
