My Opinion Towards Anonymity

The internet is a powerful tool that unfortunately we have accustomed it to our lives. I don’t think anonymity is an important right in online communities because too many people abuse it. Even though there are beneficial reasons why people use anonymity, in today's society the majority of the people don't use it for good. Having anonymity creates horrible choices, then leads to harassment. In this world that we live in, people are very self conscious about how they present themselves to someone else. Since anonymity is a major factor leading to trolling, those who are self conscious are at risk of being attacked. If a troll knows what bothers you, they will continue to do it because they are getting a  reaction. When an anonymous person is getting a reaction, it makes them feel like if they have control over you. As long at they are getting attention from others, they will continue to do it.
