My Views on Anonymity

All in all, I think that anonymity shouldn't be banned because of all the useful ways it can be used.  It's not fair to take away everyone's right because a few idiots want to be obnoxious and annoying.  People don't think trolling can be stopped therefore, they aren't even attempting to minimize the possible ways of trolling.  Instead they come up with this irrational thought to get rid of anonymity altogether.  Basically, people like to take the easy way out.  The easy way is going to get society nowhere.  I don't think we all realize just how important anonymity is to society.  Anonymity allows people to do so many things that they otherwise couldn't do.  These things include sharing ideas and expressing ideas that have helped make the world a better place.  Anonymity is only a weapon if we make it a weapon.  I believe that the war with trolls will eventually die down.  The only reason it's so big right now is because online anonymity is still relatively new to society.  Once the hype of social media dies down, trolling will die down with it.
