With such a large population I believe we don't have a real alternative from factory food being the main provider for us. This factory system is good for a large population such as the U.S.. We can mass produce food effectively to support our large and growing population. Yes their is the lack of healthy food being provided since many nutrients are stripped away but people are not bound by this system alone for obtaining food. We as the consumer voted with our choice of what to eat for the system we now have today. If people have a real problem with it they can grow their own food as an alternative ,but why would you with such a fast effective system. We are simply trading health for a faster system that can sustain a larger population. From a big picture perspective the move society is making may be bad for the some individuals but not for the population as a whole.
