I've seen a number of documentaries about the fast food industries and their control on farmers. Fast food industries are some of the largest buyers of farm products and because the demand is so large they have caused a change the way food is grown. It is bigger and faster grown than ever before. Animals forced to grow faster thanks to science, chickens don't even get to see the light of day or barely walk because of their growth rates. Mass production instead of farming, crowded farms where diseases can spread like wildfire and companies feed cows and fish corn which is not what they are naturally fed and genetically built to and now we have to worry about E. coli and run off from these industrialized meat breading facilities, I say that now because they aren't even farms anymore.
