The factory food system may not be the best for the individual ,but if we considered our population as a whole it is a great option. An entire overhaul of this system wouldn't be cost effective. The real question is when does this system become so harmful it requires government intervention. Yes their is more diabetes ,obesity , and deaths by deadly diseases such as e coli but it has yet to slow the progress of the American system. Although harmful it hasn't slowed down anything yet or presented itself to be such a problem a strict initiative would be taken. The American people can still remain ignorant to the problem with no consequences for the nation. It is the the individuals in the population are suffering ,the minorities, and that's why people still don't have to care. The capitalist system is indifferent and is blind to the suffering of the few its the majority who votes for what they want and sadly we chose this system by our food choices and some will fall for the rest to rise.
